Ray Woods is a former footballer who was born in Birkenhead, England on June 7, 1965. He began his professional career with Tranmere Rovers, where he made his debut. After leaving Tranmere, Woods played in non-league football for clubs such as Bangor City, Runcorn, and Northwich Victoria before joining Caernarfon Town. He was notably part of the Caernarfon Town team that reached the third round of the 1986-87 FA Cup. Woods had a brief spell with Tranmere Rovers where he made 9 appearances as an apprentice, scoring 2 goals.
